Gerry McNamara is an American college basketball coach and former player. He is currently the associate head coach for the Syracuse Orange men's basketball team.
Playing Career: McNamara played college basketball at <a href="https://www.wikiwhat.page/kavramlar/Syracuse%20University">Syracuse University</a> from 2002 to 2006. He was a key player on the 2003 national championship team. He was known for his clutch shooting and leadership.
Coaching Career: After a brief professional playing career overseas, McNamara returned to Syracuse as a graduate assistant in 2009. He worked his way up the coaching ranks and was named an assistant coach in 2011. In 2023, he was promoted to associate head coach.
Syracuse Legacy: McNamara is considered a legend at Syracuse. His number 3 is retired by the program.
